Five Sketches in Song Form for Viola & Marimba. A set of five songlike musical sketches, the work was premiered at the National Romanian Opera House at Iasi in March 2004. The composer’s use of atonal structure combines with the sonoroties of the instrumental combination to create a vivid and enchanting set of pieces that easily elicit an emotional response from the listener.
